Here I go! After training for the past year in pain, which was originally diagnosed as "tendonitis", basically tough shit, deal with it, you're getting old. I refuse to believe that. There are plenty of athletes that do what I do (and more) for their entire lives and never have chronic pain.
I later discovered after my second MRI, that I have a partially torn patellar tendon that was not going to heal itself, so it was time to resort to surgery. I had done physical therapy for months to no avail and I felt like I had exhausted all other options at this point.

Procedure: Left knee patellar tendon debridement.
